The is a cumulative project where students will evaluate the influential events leading up to the Revolutionary War. Students will be looking at the underlining philosophical influences of the events and how the events are portrayed (Enlightenment/Great Awakening/Classical Liberalism/Civil Republicanism) as well as examining the bias concerning the outcome/sequence of the events (Patriots vs Loyalists)--this will be done by analyzing primary and secondary sources. Then Students will incorporate those ideologies and biases into their own argumentative writings. Students will depict this project through the writing style and format of a Newspaper including one informative article, letters to the editor, and a fluff story that mirror the historical context of the time period.
